CEE Story From The Mission Field
Thank You! Part 1
December 21, 2005
CEE Leadership wants to thank you for your generous giving to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Many lives have been changed because of you. Your gifts have helped us plant churches, spread the word of God and lead nationals to go out as missionaries. Through out this holiday season, we would like to share a few of these stories in a three-part series. Part one:
Dear Southern Baptist family,
Words can’t adequately express our gratitude for your generosity in being used of the Lord to provide our needs while serving on the field as your missionaries. In spite of economic setbacks in the United States, you continued to increase your sacrificial giving to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. In the past twelve months, you have provided the means and resources for the teams in our field to (1) hand out more than 1,500 New Testaments to the people of the city of Budapest, Hungary; (2) offer food, water, supplies and shelter to more than 200 Romanian families after two rounds of devastating floods; (3) provide key training materials, supplies and travel for more than 40 church planters and team leaders; and (4) provide a facility to offer language training and eventual Chronological Bible Storying to hundreds of Czechs who had never heard the Gospel. These items are only the tip of the iceberg.
Your sacrifice is making a difference for the Kingdom among the 57 million people of Central Europe.

Dear Southern Baptist Partner in Missions,
My family and I would like to thank you for your continued faithfulness in praying, giving, and going this past year. We especially thank you for your faithfulness in supporting the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. More so than ever, your gifts are making a huge difference in our work with our Russian Baptist partners to reach Russia for Christ. As one example of how you've made a difference this past year, new churches were started in two pioneer areas of St. Petersburg, Russia, where there had never been a church before. For years before communism, Russian believers would have to travel for miles to visit an Orthodox temple. Then under communism, Russian believers met secretly in homes to pray. Now, a group of 70 Russian Baptist believers meets for worship in a building where before they could have lost their lives. Thank you for your faithful giving and your prayers for Russia.
In Him,
