CEE Story From The Mission Field

Ministry in the South Europe Field of CEE

October 26, 2005

Volunteers in South Europe have seen spiritual warfare up close and personal. From reticence to anger, cursing and even physical attacks, missionaries and volunteers have seen it all. But they keep coming back because the people are responding. In fact, after saturating one area with the gospel through Bible distribution for five years with no obvious results, volunteers recently led their first four people to the Lord. This was the result of prayer and commitment. Volunteers first came and prayerwalked; they returned and distributed Scripture; they returned again and did follow-up. Only now are they reaping the harvest. One man who vehemently opposed the ministry of these volunteers expressed the power of the gospel as a bomb among his people. But then he said, “Actually, it would be better if you threw a bomb because then only 10 would die, but distributing the Bible will spread your message and many will come to Christ.” We believe the man was a prophet of sorts and are praying for those who will come.
