CEE Story From The Mission Field

Pray for Northwest Poland

October 7, 2005

Michael and Vicki Shattuck are missionaries in Northwest Poland, a region where only one percent of the population are evangelical believers. Their task is to develop a strategy for reaching 5 million people with the gospel of Christ. “I would say that the biggest obstacle we find ourselves facing is the strong Catholic influence in a pre-Reformation culture,” said Michael. This influence causes most Poles to consider themselves and their country “Christian,” even though they have little understanding of the gospel and no relationship with Christ. “We want to see these strongholds razed,” said Michael, “allowing Poles to experience the living God and the grace that He offers.” Michael and Vicki ask you to join them in praying that a multitude of Poles will give their lives to Christ and that they will then take that message to their own people. To partner with the Shattucks in prayer, e-mail them.
