CEE Story From The Mission Field
Missionary Thanks Annual General Meeting Volunteers
August 15, 2005
Dear Friends,
Another AGM has come and gone. We have all returned to our different homes. I
have a lingering desire to express my thoughts of appreciation and once again
to try and say thank you to you, but also to thank the Lord for the things He
has done. Our family has been living in Ukraine for ten years now. Our
daughters, Rebekah and Hannah were ages six and eight when we moved here. They
too felt a call even as young children in their own way to live as a missionary
family. There were people and opportunities they would leave behind and they
realized that. But God is ever faithful. He strengthened our faith
and trust in Him to meet our felt needs. One very special way He has met
a need was through the children and youth progams of Annual General Meetings.
Rebekah has graduated high school and has moved to her home in the states. She enters the University ofLouisiana Tech next fall. She takes with her many special and important truths and memories that will help guide her. Many of these she learned and lived out because of your investment in the life of missionary kids.
Hannah will be a junior in High School and has a solid foundation and personal quiet time that was encouraged and taught not only by us but through the years of retreats with other youth and leaders. These conferences and retreats have been so important in the lives of my girls. They both desire to be good role models and contiunue to be used by God both now and in their future with other MKs. They know what a difference it has made in their lives. We have not lived where they were able to be with other MKs often throughout the year.. But they have never seen this as a negative thing. They made Ukrainian friends and look forward to times when they could enjoy MK friends also. "The best of both worlds!" we would say.
I have always ask God to bring good women and men into the path of my daughters. I prayed that they would learn and grow in those experiences to see more of Him. You are an answer to that prayer.
To each of you….THANK YOU! I realize that not every one is able to come and be with the MKs. But, I also realize that each of you have had a part in my girls lives.
You prayed, gave gifts, finacial support, you may have "filled in the gap" so that someone else could leave and come, or you did come. You supported. You gave.
Can you hear this Mom's heart? God Bless Youl You are an answer to prayer. God is so good. And we are so blessed.
Thank you, Love,Linda Ray
