Please join Team Bratislava in praying for M who is a new believer that is facing big changes in the future.  M is a member of a local home group and she recently found out that she has been accepted to study in Norway for the next two years which is a great honor and opportunity.  Pray that M will led to a strong Bible believing church/fellowship in Norway where she will be able to continue to grow in the knowledge of Christ.

Preparations are well underway for a summer ministry project with volunteers from Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Durham, NC that we pray will impact Bratislava for Jesus.  July 19-31, 2008 Team Bratislava and stateside partners will reach out to young and old alike with a variety of activities including English courses, sports and games, and community work projects.  Please join us in praying that God will open the hearts of Bratislavans so that relationships can be developed and Jesus proclaimed to them.

Nesvady is a small town in southwest Slovakia just a few kilometers from Nove Zamky. In this town is a small Baptist Church that is currently without a pastor. Our team will assist this church this summer with an evangelistic, English camp (first two weeks in August). Our contact here is a woman named Betka. She works for the YMCA and is a member of the Baptist Church. Pray for her and the church that they will not become discouraged. Pray for the Lord to provide the right pastor at the right time.

We worked with a pastor in another village recently to help build and establish relationships with a near by village. Please continue to ask the Lord to develop the relationships established.

Thank you for praying for the teams that were here in January and part of February. Continue to pray for lasting results. We were in schools in Hnusta and Bratislava teaching English, afternoon of sports, hanging out with students, coffeehouse, sharing our testimonies and evening ESL classes. We worked with a pastor in another village to help build and establish relationships with a near by village. God said that His word would not return void, pray for the harvest.

Please intercede for student volunteers from the Impact 360 program that will be working alongside our team in Slovakia from January 20-February 9, 2008. Pray that God will use these students in a powerful way to make known the mystery of the Gospel to Slovak students and adults alike. Prior to their arrival in Slovakia, these students will also serve one week in the Czech Republic. Pray that they will have endurance physically, emotionally, and spiritually as they commit to serve the Lord for these four weeks.

Slovakia rang in the New Year in fine style as they do every year with a festive party downtown full of music and fireworks. A nurse at a local hospital said they were anxious to free up as many beds in the pediatric ward before New Years Eve because they anticipate a large influx of 13-14 year old boys and girls that have become intoxicated to the point of passing out. Please pray that local Baptist churches will find creative ways to reach out to these young people who have no hope and direction in life.

We ask that you please pray for volunteers from Glacier Valley Baptist Church in Juneau, Alaska that will be coming to minister to Slovak students January 3-13, 2008. Pray that our Lord will divinely provide ministry sites in local schools and places to meet and talk with students after school. Pray for boldness on the part of these volunteers and that God would open doors for the Gospel to be clearly proclaimed. Pray that the Message will fall on fertile soil.

Thank you for interceding for the team of volunteer musicians from Georgia that ministered in Slovakia in September. God was gracious in bringing hundreds of people out to hear excellent music, testimonies and the Good News. Pray that seeds planted by these faithful co-laborers will produce a harvest of souls for Christ.
