Pray today for Buryat believers as they prepare to meet together tomorrow. Ask the Lord to encourage these believes to keep pressing on despite persecution. Pray that they would not grow weary.

Pray for Nikki Lutes, a summer student worker who is serving with our team in orphanage ministry (in a city an hour from Ufa), as an assistant at an in-city (Ufa) summer ESL camp conducted by a local educational institution, and as an assistant with our team in Ufa in our ESL ministries.

Pray  for open hearts among the Conversational English students and a commitment to attend the September-May follow up classes which we pray will lead to a church start.

After a long conversation and many tears, a young man decided not to wait any longer, and got on his knees and gave his life to Christ.  When he stood he was told he is no longer fatherless, that God would never leave him or forsake him. Pray for this young man to grow in wisdom and stature with God and men. Pray also for the man who will disciples him.

Please pray for Donna and me as we go to a Jewish university this week and invite their students to come to camp.  Please pray that we will be warmly received there and that some of the students will come to camp.

Many young Buryat believers live in the city and get caught up in the “busyness” of life. Sometimes they forget about the lostness and darkness of the villages that they left. Ask the Lord to burden the hearts of the young believers!

Pray for the Russian Baptists in Ufa who will conduct summer evangelistic children’s and youth camps from July 7-18 and July 21-28 respectively.  Pray for laborers in this harvest, for decent weather, and for many of the children and youth to begin understanding the good news and respond to it.

Today, Monday I am going to have tea with an elderly woman from our English club.  Antonina fell and broke her hip in February and has not been able to come to our English club or Bible study since then.  She is feeling better but still limited in her walking.  Please pray that I will have a chance to share my faith during my time with her.  She faithfully attended my Bible study but has not come to faith YET.

Pray for Andrei and Sveta in Kamishlov, as they continue to work to establish a seminary for pastors in the eastern section of Sverdlovskaya Oblast.
