Team Western Hungary

July 2

Emoke, the language teacher of Larry and Melinda Ewing, has had an open heart to the Gospel since March 8th, when she attended the baptism of 4 people in Gyor, Hungary. She is currently meeting with the Ewings weekly following the “scarlet thread” through the Bible. Pray that her eyes will be opened and she will receive Jesus as her Substitute.

Pray that our new believers, Ari, Andras, Rozi and Kinga will begin to grow strong in the Lord and will use opportunities this summer to learn better how to share their faith and will have the courage to share, beginning with their own families.

Two more unbelieving students have come into our Tuesday Bible discussion group. Please pray for Tibor and Laci that their hearts will be opened to receive Jesus as their Savior, as well as Ferenc.

June 12

Pray for the 700+ New Testaments and Bible given out at the City Day Festival. Pray that people will open them and begin to digest God's word, and that God will meet them and change their lives.

Pray that Breanna and Kayla, two American High School students, visiting in Nagykanizsa Hungary will have a good opportunity to share the Gospel with three Hungarian students named Bianka, Kriszti and Peter.

Since Emoke Szalai attended a believers' baptism last week in Gy?r Hungary, she has begun to communicate her long quest for forgiveness from sin by going to priests of more than one denomination to receive forgiveness. Pray that she will respond to the message she received about the true Priest and will turn to Jesus for forgiveness.

Please continue to pray for our landlady, E. She goes in Friday for a week-long in-patient therapy treatment. Please pray that her knee and leg swelling and pain will be healed, and that she will know that it comes from the Lord. May this be a turning point in her life and that of her family, and that they will turn to Christ as the giver of healing, life, and forgiveness.

Please pray for Kayla and Breanna Myers, two teenagers who will be working with the Brocks in Nagykanizsa, Hungary for the month of March. Pray they will be able to model the Christian life to the young students they meet and involve them in Bible study.

Please pray for a lady name Nora from Nagykanizsa, Hungary who has recently prayed to receive Christ and is involved in follow-up by field personnel. Pray this new believer will soon be willing to host a Bible study group in her home in the very near future.

East Hungary Team

Mar. 7

Twice now Gary has gone to a local group home for youth and led a discussion group over the content of the Matthew DVD; he and a young national believer are working together on this, so it’s a great opportunity for cooperation and mentoring. Eight young people are in the group, and when asked if they would like a Bible if they didn’t already have one, all 8 ended up requesting to have a copy. Please pray that the discussions about the Gospel of Matthew will plant seeds in these troubled young hearts, and that they will repent and turn to Christ.
