MASTER PLANS are the foundational tools we are using to reach the 440 people groups, cities, and population segments in CEE with the gospel. Without a master plan, an SC might only be implementing strategies in a hit-and-miss type of effort. Each group of people is unique and needs to hear the gospel in a way that is unique as well. A group of Orthodox people is not going to receive the gospel in the same way as a group of atheists. Therefore, each SC does extensive research about his individual group, learns from local believers and others, and prays continually. These gleanings contribute to a master plan.
Each master plan is a tool for discovering God’s vision and the
fulfillment of this vision for a particular people group. Through months
of research, prayer, and consultation and reflection on the personal experiences
they and others have had, strategy coordinators create a practical, step-by-step,
custom-made plan for reaching their individual people groups for Christ.
Each SC works through finding the answers to five pivotal questions. These
answers help make it possible to close the gap between a people group’s
current realities and reaching this group for Christ. It is a tool to help
an SC honestly evaluate needs and barriers, as well as open doors and ways
in which God is already at work. The motivating factor is the belief that
if you ask the right questions and provide adequate answers, then you have
the framework for a useful strategy and plan of action.
1] What is God already doing?
2] What is the vision?
3] What is the reality?
4] What is the gap between the reality and the vision?
5] What strategic steps can we undertake to help close that gap?
